Of Literature and Lattes by Katherine Reay - A sweet story, perfect for reading poolside or sinking into during naptime.

Untamed by Glennon Doyle -

podcast

Honestly, I’ve got nothing this go around. I’ve been laying off the podcasts for a while in favor of more music. Information overload is real and I’ve been feeling it.

audiobook

Come As You Are by Emily Nagoski Ph.D - Both my formal and informal education around sex and my body were less than helpful in a lot of ways. I’m working hard to unlearn some of the harmful beliefs I’ve been given around sex and learn some that allow me to sink into my body and fully enjoy the physical intimacy of marriage.

Stick It - A tried and true favorite perfect for watching in the background.

TV Series

Blue Bloods - First of all, we have Tom Selleck. Need I say more? Second of all, every episode ends with saying grace at Sunday dinner and in between we have a whole lot of love and loss and battles between good and evil.

Full disclosure: I considered picking something different. But honestly, I like leaving suspending reality for 45 minutes at a time and entering a world where good always prevails over evil and the Reagan family always wins the day.

quote

“Like Jesus, who walked strait toward his own crucifixion. First the pain, then the waiting, then the rising. All of our suffering comes when we try to get out resurrection without allowing ourselves to be crucified first. There is no glory except straight through your story.” - Glennon Doyle, Untamed
