Audiobook

I haven’t listened to any lately but I’m preparing to listen to some old favorites while we unpack in the new house. I love anything by Shauna Niequist or Kelly Corrigan on audio because they read it themselves.

lucyism

Seeing her with her great grandparents when we visited them in Florida. Her name means light and she was truly a light shining on everyone she met from the airport maintenance staff to the flight crew, family and back.

I took approximately 1,000 photos of Lucy just hanging out with my grandparents because seeing her with my two favorite people makes my heart burst.

Little Luxury

Napping while Lucy naps. This mama is T I R E D.

moments

Seeing Lucy with her great grandparents

Tomato and burrata salad on a patio with my mom and Nana in FL

A quick dinner date with Jeff at Columbia, my favorite restaurant in FL.

Steele family Christmas

song

Try by Albin Lee Meldau - I listened to the whole album this song comes from while sitting by my grandparents’ pool and it had the perfect soulful, oldies feel.

quote

We were THOSE PEOPLE pretending it’s summer while shivering in the pool.

“We were not created to lead drab, narrow, or constricted lives, but to live in the wide-open spaces. We find confinement unbearable, simply because we were created in the image of God, and we have within us an unquenchable need for the absolute and the infinite.” - Fr. Jacques Philippe

Purchase

Honestly? What haven’t I purchased this month? There are a lot of unopened boxes around here filled with storage bins, drawer organizers, rugs, etc. I don’t what to tell you guys at this point besides online shopping for organizational bins IS, in fact, a valid coping mechanism for moving related anxiety.

recipe

We eat this chicken sausage and gnocchi situation A LOT in our house. It’s a crowd pleaser, one pan, no mess. Winner winner in my book.

Just the kind of ordinary moments I want to hold on to forever.

Do you ever look at your child and think “Who let you grow up? Not me. You’re grounded.” Yeah no me neither.

If I wasn’t already pregnant, this photo would be all the inspiration I needed.
